1. Account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your password and access tokens confidential.
- You're responsible for any activity under your account.
- One person per account. No sharing or sublicensing.
2. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Submit content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, or hateful.
- Attempt to access another user's account or private data.
- Use automated scrapers or bots that exceed reasonable request rates.
- Reverse engineer the app or its APIs for competitive purposes.
- Misrepresent yourself or your bowling stats in ways intended to defraud tournament organizers, sponsors, or other users.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you create on The BallRoom (your arsenal, notes, scores, photos). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service. If you opt to share your bowler card publicly, you grant a license for anyone to view the data shown on the public card page.
You can revoke this license at any time by deleting the content or your account.
4. Tournament directory submissions
When you submit a tournament listing to our public directory, you confirm you have the right to share that information and that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may edit submissions for clarity or remove listings that violate these Terms.
5. Affiliate disclosure
When you click a “Buy at [retailer]” link in The BallRoom, we may earn a commission on your purchase. This doesn't change the price you pay and doesn't influence our ball recommendations — those come from the physics engine.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is.” The recommendations, predictions, and analytics we provide are best-effort approximations based on physics modeling and historical data. They are not guarantees of bowling performance. We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall The BallRoom be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users or the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced by email and via an in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, USA.
